When I was a very small child I loved receiving sweets and ginger bread cakes left by St Nicholas. I absolutely lived in fear of coming across Father Flog or Pere Fouettard.I really believed he existed. I used to hide under my blankets on the eve of the 5th December in case Father Flog came looking for me. I was not a naughty child but I believe it so much.
