FLOWERS & WORDART CHALLENGE by kpoddream. The Jacaranda is one of South Africa's best known trees, although it is an invasive exotic. Pretoria (Tshwane) is known as the 'Jacaranda City' because of the prevalence of these trees on the city's streets and parklands. It is most noticeable in spring when it flowers in bright displays of purple-blue. Spring time is show time (September - October) in Pretoria after the dry and dusty winter. This page is great, it looks like my town, we have Jacaranda's as street trees and in all the parks and also favorites in our yards. I just love the colour, and when they fall it is like a carpet on the ground. Just love your page into my Fav's
