I did this page for the Scavanger Hunt Challenge 4. I know Tassie Devils are not cute and cuddly, but they are unique. And unfortunately they are dying. The native population is infected with a contagious type of cancer that causes tumors to grown on the devils face, stopping them from eating and drinking. Unfortunately the tumors keep mutating making it almost impossible to find a cure. You can google Devil Facial Tumour Disease to find out more, but be warned the pictures are not pretty.

I remember seeing one of Steve Irwin's programmes where he tried (Usuccessfully I might add) to catch one of these little cutie babies - sorry to hear they have a big problem - hope something can be done before it's too late xx
