this is my grandfather. he has played a vital role in my life and he is a humble, unassuming, caring and giving man. he never talked about his time in the military until a year ago, when he was finally awarded five medals. his attitude was, well, even if they are 60 years late, better late than never. he was just proud and happy to be appreciated. he will never know how appreciated he is.

This page really touches my heart at this time! My Cousin's father was a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, who finally earned the respect they deserved upon receipt of the Congressional Gold Medal in Mid-March this year.
