About this scrapbook page:
For the Patriotic challenge.
I was in NYC two weeks after 9/11 -- to visit ground zero was very emotional as the scent of the destroyed towers was still in the air as embers still burned. Streets were lined with memorials of loved ones lost and in hopes of a miracle of a loved one found. It was one of the most moving and emotional experiences of my life.

All of this left me standing with horror and yet filled with so much pride ... I hope everyone is proud of their country, as I am proud to be an American. God Bless us all in spited of differences ... we need to learn to disagree, agreeably ... it can be done.

I've also been to Ground Zero and yes, it's a very sobering place to stand and reflect on what happened that terrible day.

I think the "horror & disbelief" of September 11 will stay with us forever - this is a wonderful tribute and an important reminder of just how precious life and love is.
