I knew very little about my great-uncle Hugh until I did some internet research the other day. I was able to find out exactly when, where and how he was killed, during WWII. His ship was bombed, which set alight the amunition they were carrying. 47 members of the crew lost their lives and 30 more were injured. This Memorial Day weekend we should remember heroes from all countries who fought for freedom.The photo was badly damaged and I've fixed as best I can...it's very precious to me!
