Carved in pure white marble it is amazing and beautiful. If ever near Paris go and visit the Rodin museum. It is well worth it. For those interested Rodin had an affair with a pupil of his Camille Claudel.She was as good as Rodin but being a woman did not always get the recognition she deserved. Plus Rodin attributed some of her work to himself and got all the praise.Look into her story it is very sad, yet fascinating.
