This page is for SCRAP A HERO! I wanted to participate in this challenge, for very personal reasons. I chose this picture because I've watched my husband kiss and hold his kids as he boarded a plane for Vietnam. At that moment....it literally tears you apart!!

very touching moment.. i too watch my son kiss his son goodbye when he was sent to iraq.. that was a few yrs back when coby was 4.. it was a very sad day.. my son returned safely on his son's birthday a year later.. what a wonderful gift!!

So tough to say goodbye to one's father for the child but equally as tough on the father to say goodbye to their children. Been there and done that 44 years ago when going to Vietnam. Very touching.
