In addition, we served food we liked and had a kind of cake we love - not the kind that is usually served in the weddings. Also our mode of trasport was fairly unique... My advice to any future bride is: make your wedding the kind the TWO of you want, after all, it is your wedding. We had great time and even my hubby - who usually hates parties - loved every bit of it.

The best part, in my opinion, was that no one was drunk (as usually everyone is in Finnish weddings) as there was no alcohol used. I was glad to prove the doubters wrong. LOL

First we had the formal part, then everyone "changed gear" and we played games (e.g. volleyball), swam in the lake, sang by the campfire etc. in a lovely, warm summer evening. (one of the last ones that year...) My husband's band played some songs as well. Over 30+ guest stayed overnight as did we in our private cabin - and we all had breakfast together.
