Judged and Condemed

I thought I wouldn't be ever writing something like this but I came acrossed here, tonight to add my friendship page and knew this would be the place I could express myself and be recieved. I don't know how long this post will last as Flair monitors and removes pages at will and especially of this nature (opinions coming true from the heart).
I have been rediculed, misunderstood, and judged just for being a Christian. I have been accussed of 'discrimination' of pagans and witches when simply I note in my challenge requirements it's my preference not to see 'content' of this in my challenges. So the pagans and witches started a thread in the forums and even after telling them my opinion (they asked) they would NOT recieve my anwser as simple as a personal 'preference'. All the witchy pages you see are directed towwards me as an INSULT of my faith(any INSULT is against SBF's site rules...I have reported them all to flair and they KNOW what it's about but still do NOT remove them. I'm requesting that if you come along these witch pages do what you see fit. Reporting them might help. Thank you for listening. Any of your comments are appreciated...feel free to pm me if you want. ((((HUGS)))))KimberlyRae

I just read the thread this morning Kim and I'm with you. Like so many, they find no problem in condemning Christians or forcing their point of view of others. It's like I always say "there are none so intolerant as those who preach tolerance."

I do agree that we must all get along together and respect each other's opinions and preferences. But that INCLUDES respecting the opinions and preferences of Christians.

I was a sunday school teacher a long time ago but now my direction in life has changed due to intolerances of so called christians ! Jesus preached love of your neighbours & won peoples hearts by his values of tolerance. If I have made the wrong choice in my life then it is up to God to decide NOT people.
GerryWright No one has forced their point of view on any one. We are angry at KR because she was being intolerant "no pagan or witchy pages " in her challenges that is the same as if the witches said no Jesus or God pages as that was a "preferance ". Imagine what an uproar there would be. We were all getting along so well, commenting on pages reguardless of the religious content, I love SBF & I hate to see this conflict !!! Please have the christian value of "turn the other cheek" the pagan/witches have the belief of "harm none" but as they like many other religions have been persecuted for most of history, they do get angry about intolerance. PLEASE LETS GET ALONG TOGETHER !!!

If those of us that are christian that enjoy this website come across a challenge that we find offensive we don't join. Those members who are not christian have just as much right as those of us who are to create a challenge. All of us should have an equal right to dictate what our challenge requirements are.If you don't like what the requirements are,you don't join it.If you as a challenge creator find something offensive, you should have the right to require it to not be in your challenge.Does anyone have a problem with saying no nudity or foul language? Those non christian members have just as much right to require no God and Jesus pages if they so choose. If they do I for one would just skip over that challenge and not join. There are plenty of other good challenges out there to choose from. Why would you be angry over someone expressing there views? They weren't trying to force them on you or condemn you for yours.

I honestly don't believe there WOULD be any uproar if anyone made a challenge and specified no Christian references. Before you get on my back about not turning the other cheek and tolerance, I refer you to my other post in this forum. I speak very freely of acceptance and tolerance, this is what Jesus espoused. But, as I stated previously, this is a two way street. And now, it appears that some of our friends are being outwardly antagonistic just for the sake of antagonism.

I agree whole-heartedly with Motherof3girls in that if you don't like the challenge requirements DON'T JOIN!! Personally, clowns freak me out and I consider them evil, so if there are any clown challenges I won't be joining them...I won't try to ban them. If our Wiccan friends have a problem with a challenge not allowing what Christians would consider "occultish" symbols, etc. then the are free to make a similar challenge which WOULD cater to those particular interests.

All Forums referenced started by both sides have been removed . These were removed because the discussion was inappropriate or offensive to many of our members. They were not removed because Scrapbook Flair is supporting one faith vs another. Any comment or posting or page that is inappropriate, offensive or insulting will be removed. However, what one person may consider offensive is not necessarily offensive to the masses. For example, we have hunting pages on the site. Hunting pages are offensive to some Vegans. But the pages themselves are not offensive to the broad community. While some may not like to see horror and witch pages, these pages are not a violation of our site rules or a direct attack on any religion.

There is something for everyone on Scrapbook Flair. Each member should feel free to join the groups and challenges that interest them. There is no need to get involved in groups or challenges or discussions if you don't agree with the beliefs of the group.

Here is the response I have posted in the forums. Please be courteous in all public comments and postings on the site and please be tolerant to members of all races, religions and faith even if you do not agree with their beliefs. Everyone has a right to express their faith and beliefs. But condemning another person's belief is against the site rules.

We would like to remind everyone to please be courteous to the entire Scrapbook Flair Community when you post in the Forums. We reserve the right to remove any comment or post that we consider inappropriate or offensive at any time. This applies to anything you post on the site in forums, comments, groups, challenges, etc. Here is an excerpt from our site rules.

We want to clarify that all members are welcome to post pages publicy supporting their faith, beliefs, culture, religion, etc. We will mark pages as private and/or remove pages if they contain nudity, profanity or anything unsuitable for children. We do take into account that we have an international membership. So, pages are sometimes marked as private that are acceptable in some cultures but not all cultures. Anything that a child would see in mainstream media is acceptable to post on the site. Please use your best judgement when posting pages. If we receive several complaints on a page, we will consider making it private if we feel it is offensive. We review the page to consider if it is appropriate for children of all cultures. We receive very few complaints. So,thanks everyone for doing such a great job of posting pages that are appropriate for all members.
