I always make my layout first and then add my pictures. I do this because picking out color schemes doesn't come easy for me. I start with a background color and then work from there. The last thing I do is add my pictures (digitally or traditional).

Angie-Something that helps me alot is getting the scrap magazines on the newstand. That way, u see right away if u like it, understand it, and the price is right. They usually have lots of helps & hints 4 newbies! Good scrappin 2 ya!
