I love deviant art but have found that I'm getting viruses whenever I visit them ... sigh. And just as a matter of interest, Kim Anderson is a man. I discovered that a few years ago when I bought one of his books of photography and read the introduction. Would never have known it otherwise.

Yes, Victoria uses pictures of very beautiful children, one of which is my granddaughter and the other a daughter of a very good friend. At no time was I asked for permission from her to do so. I am very hurt that these images of precious children are used in this way.
It is a copyright violation. Please respect the intellectual rights of artists as well as their right to protect the way their families are portrayed.
I have reported this as a copyright violation which is extremely serious. I have also requested that the images be removed by Victoria_70 and the administrators of this site.

Scrapitude,
Victoria didn't reply to my message regarding copyright and image usage so I guess she didn't want to work anything out.
Unfortunately it wasn't only my images that were used without permission. Many of the images she used belonged to my colleagues who were not asked for permission to use them. They reported the violation to this sites administrators. Victoria's blog has been deleted as has her gallery here on this site.
It's important to check copyright and ownership before using other people's property. The net is not a 'free for all' as some people seem to think. There are real people with real feelings behind each stolen image.
Thank you for your concern
Cheers Helen
