Hello. I live in Iowa in the U.S.A., but my father was born in the Netherlands. He, his parents, sisters & brother came to America afteer WWII. I grew up learning as much about the Netherlands and I did my country and still have relatives I keep in touch with!

My husbands paternal side of the family is Dutch. They came to the United States from Zonnemaire, Zeeland in 1904. I made a genealogy book of them and traced their ancestry back to 1495 with the help of a friend on Yahoo Zeeland Genealogy Board. I have a lot of old family photos I will be scrapbooking and some are very "Dutch" looking... with the traditional dress... etc.
