Katlin's Mommy says:
I just wanted to remind everyone that Katlin's prognosis is a 20% chance of making it to a year. Most people when they have this type of tumor(glioblastoma multiforme) radiation extends their life to a year. Without radiation it is about 6 months or less. She was diagnosed in August 2008 which is about 5 months ago. She is doing so well! They didn't expect her to be walking in there in even better shape than she left. Her tumor is one that wants to grow all the time. They had told us when we left in October that the best they could probably do is halt it's growth for a little while and if we were lucky enough to see some shrinkage it would take a year or more. I did opt not to put her on chemo and her tumor has shrunk 23% in less than 3 months. Which is completely unheard of! Thank you all for your continued support and prayers.
