Yeah, I agree with Perlevennen. There's a lot of stuff you can do with SBF software. I would suggest try to explore Photoshop, too.

I am also new, and I love the thing that you can do with the SBF software. I thought that the Photoshop program had the same features that SBF has so why would you need anything else.

I'm fairly new I use SBF and photoshop 7, I have also found that Nova photoexplosion works well too. my biggest secret is find a program that you are perfectly comfortable with, it's easier to be creative if your not trying to figure out the program at the same time. Good luck and HAppy SCrapping!

i would like to add this, with SF you cant slant pictures at an angle, or flip embellishments, things like that.SF is great! don't get me wrong, but once yu get the hang of it, you want to be a little more creative. There is no limit on learning all you can on many different programs. I do agree with Thorvaldson, that you need to learn the basics 1st. Just like anything in life.

I agree with Perlevennen. Play around with SF first to get the hang of it. Then go find other backgrounds and embellishments that are free on the net and incorporate those into your work. I use PSP to rotate etc embellishments to fit in with my designs but my actual layouts are all done in SF.

Start with the scrapbook flair stuff and go from there. I teach beginning scrapbooking for digital as well as regular scrapbooking so I would be more than happy to help anybody that needs the help.
