Getting to know you!

I think it might be fun if we all (the four or five of us) take a minute to share a story about ourselves. Facts anecdotes--whatever you like.

I am a lifer--I was raised in the church in Washington State. I went to BYU and graduated with a BFA in acting. I have three little ones. I am a cancer survivor--2 years! I have "Goodly Parents" who I love dearly and am happy to be getting even closer to as the years go on. I was the lead singer of a band called UnderWater in college. I served a mission in Tennessee

There is a story there I can tell. I had to ride a bike in the Dollywood area of my mission. And it was a very large area. I was in great shape! When I was there Eastern Tennessee was hit with the most Tornados in any one season at a time. I was riding my bike on one of those tornado afternoons--you can feel them in the air--it is very weird--I was wearing an all black dress and a little black dog was chasing me down the street. I had a Wizard of Oz "and her little dog too!" moment there. It cracked me up all the way home. When will I ever have an experience like that again? Priceless to me!

Congratulations on beating cancer!! I love that you have you BFA in acting! I was a "Theater Geek" from 4th grade through college (while, the 2 years I made it through anyway)! I miss is so much! I keep telling myself that when Afton get's older I'll get back to it. My parent's joined the church when I was 7, we were living overseas (in Okinawa, Japan) at the time and were lucky enough to have the amazing experience of being sealed in the Tokyo Temple. I am our ward's Primary President as well as being our Stake Cultural Arts Director and sing with our Stake Choir. I am also a preschool teacher, mom and wife - so needless to say I'm busy!

I was born and raised in Rexburg, Idaho, home of the former Ricks College Vikings and now BYU-I. I went to school in Logan, Utah and worked on a BFA in photography. I got married "late" by LDS terms. I was 28 and my husband was 32. We now live in Cortez, Colorado and have two little girls. I am currently callingless, but I have been primary president in a different ward, I still miss those kids.

Hi guys. I just joined and am new to the whole digital scrapbooking and am loving it so far. I love that their is no mess to clean up as with six kids to get into everything, this is a much better route for me. I am 28 and have been married for going on 10 yrs now to the best husband in the world. He is in the army so we have had to chance to share the gospel with so many people that we would not have met otherwise. It amazes me how much having a great marriage is actually a good way of sharing the gospel with others. Even just sending my husband some fudge while he was in Iraq turned a fellow soldier from hating the church to wanting to find "a good mormon girl" to marry lol. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you guys.
