I am using Photoshop 7 to create my pages....and love making pages from scratch...:-)

I have tried Photoshop a couple times and found a lot of things to be similar with PSP. I guess because I've been using PSP so long I just prefer to use what I know best : ) You do awesome pages! I really enjoy seeing your new ones posted : )

I had never heard of Scrapbook factory till I'd seen it mentioned on here recently, I'll have to look it up : )
I like the scrapbook flair software. I love the fact that I can use my own backgrounds and embelleshments with it. I just made a folder full of backgrounds and embellishments to mail on a CD to my sister so she can try Scrap Book Flair : )

I'm new to digital scrapbooking and have only created two pages so far. I am used to PhotoShop since I have used it in my commercial work for quite some time, but am learning to combine it with with the Scrapbook Flair software. I'm sure that I'll be experimenting with some of the other software I'vbe seen mentioned on the group.

I use Photoshop - There are so many things to do sith this program - I am always learning new things and new way to use embellishments on my pages - I think its the greatest!

Right now I am using photoshop and paint shop pro 7 to make all my embellishments. (I just recently started making them.) But I am hoping to get Scrapbook Factory for Christmas...hint, hint Billy!

I recently tried a demo of Photoshop and was very overwhelmed by it. I'm use to applications that you can jump into and get them going. I have patience to learn but Photoshop seems so difficult. Is there a version that is easier than another for beginners? Also, would it be helpful to get a book on using it? You know us scrappers.....once we have something, we have to get right into using it!!

I corel paint shop..I started with pait shope pro 5..LOL they sure have come a long way ..lol.I love it! I like to be able to make my own things & match the colors.

I'm not sure if you're still interested, but you asked about an easier version of photoshop. Photoshop Elements is a smaller, easier to use version. It's pretty simple to just install, and jump right in!

I have Photoshop CS2 and love it. The other programs I have are:
1)Microsoft Digital Image Suite 9-easy to use photo editor with lots of projects.
2)Ideasoft's Scrapbooks plus-user friendly quick little program.
3)Hallmark Scrapbook Studios-another quick cute program.
4&5)Art Explosion Publisher Pro and their Photo Editor Programs. (haven't reloaded them after my crash so don't remember them).
6)American Greetings Crafts- more card orientated.
7)My original Cannon Creative disks that came with my first printer. I love the clipart on it as well as the bartlett quotes and phrases prg it has (it still works on xp :))

I stick with Photoshop since I am the most comfortable with that. I recently fell in love with Lightroom for big editing jobs and basic photo corrections. Elements is what I use for quick edits and very simple effects. Obviously, I favor Adobe products :)

Since I am still relatively new to this, I use the scrapbook flair software to create and upload my pages. I use Gimp to create backgrounds, mbellishments, etc. =)

Do a google search for PSP tutorials or PSP tutorial for beginners and you will find LOTS of great tutorials to learn from. This is how I learned everything I know! If you have any specific questions just ask : )

I use PSPX almost exclusively. I have other versions back to 7, it's what I started with. I do have ULead, PI, and Adobe CS2 and 7 but I suppose because I began with PSP, that's what I stick with.

I use Photoshop CS3 with the combination of Illustrator. Love it. It's quite expensive, and can be overwhelming. For those who want to try Photoshop, Elements is a much more cost effective version. It may not have all the bells and whistles, but it gets the job done. Then you can move up if you want.

I make a lot of pages from scratch and I use Photoimpact 12 mainly but also use PSP.
I have Photoshop cs2 but can't get my head around it...
I am in the process of learning but I always seem to go back to my favorite, photoimpact

hi. When I started I used Paint.net. Now I use GIMP. Both are free applications. Recently, I have a copy of PCS... learning mode and hopefully with PCS I can develop my own elements. yah!

All I have is Microsoft picture it standard 9 and photo shop Elements 2 ,he,he,I hardly get any updates any more.It all came with the computer when I bought it in 2004.

Hi everyone, I use Microsoft Digital Imaging Suite. I love it. I can do almost everything. I only use photoshop when I need to. Bad thing is that they aren't making it anymore along with Microsoft Picture it. Too sad. I love that program. Guess I gotta get better at photoshop.

I am currently learning and using Adobe Photoshop CS3 extended for my digiscrapping. I also have Photoshop 7, Paint Shop Pro 9, Pixel Magic aka HP Creative Suite Assistant, Scrapbook Factory Deluxe 4, PhotoImpact 10, Gimp, and am currently enjoying a 60 day trial of COREL Painter Essentials 4. I know I am probably forgetting something...but that pretty much runs the gamut for me.

I use PSP, started with 7, then 9 and am on Xl. I have photoshop Cs2 and find that its not as user friendly as PSP...things that are so easy in PSP, I cant even do in Photoshop..

I love PSP too... I recently tried Adobe Elements on a friends computer and picked it up immediately... I would love to have CS3 for my photography... want to be able to use actions in the worst way... but no way can we afford the price!

I am using Photoshop CS2. I started off with PSP XI and got on alright until it slowed down on my computer and everything took ages to do. Have now got used to CS2 and love it.
I love to try to make my own element, I'm not that great but like the challenge. Am trying beads at the moment and not getting on very well - any suggestions or help?

Most plug-ins that work with Photo Shop will work with PSP. There are hundreds of them all over the net that are free and you just unzip them to the "Plug In" folder in PSP and then go to effects>plugins.

As for the glitter jewelry you would probably have to use Animation Shop.

I switched to Photoshop a few years ago and would never go back... love it! I also use lightroom now for my photo editing. I shoot in RAW format.
