We have 2 horses. Cheyenne and Jesse. We love our big babys thy are so much fun. Last night my hubby calls me and told me that some one at work gave him a donkey. She is 1yr old her name is Julie. The funny part of the the name is we have grandkids with the same names. When we went to pick up all of our babys we ask what is there names.

Hello I'm Stephanie.
We currently only have one baby. She's a palamino app with a snowflake pattern. She's our pretty girl. She's 9 yrs old and was abused at one time. The gentleman we got her from had simply turned her out to pasture. When he got her,she'd hide behind the barn and wouldn't let you come to her. Now she's harassing us for cookies, carrotts, apples whatever she can pilfer from ya. She's our girl and we love her deeply. She's my very bestest friend, I can tell her all my secrets; she never tells anyone and doesn't point and laugh. (least not while i'm looking)

how cool..my hubby wants to get a donkey..I told him only if he gets it when its a baby..right now we have our hands full with what we have...the 2 month old colt and my son is breaking our 2yr old stud..oh he is so hard headed...he's put a saddle on him for a few weeks now and that first run he acts like a fool..he's one of the hardest ones we've had..usally by the time we get them ready and put the saddle on they wont even buck..not this one...lol

Julie is going to be so much fun. We got her Sat 19th 08 this is the first time she has been away form Mom. It took 3 people to load her in the trailer, poor baby was so scared. When we got her home she did not let any one near her. Sun I was out in the field with her off and on all day. At the end of the day she did let me get close to her.

Thats how we were with Shooter..when he was born ..he wasn't even an hr old and we were all over him..he's now 3 moths old and he gives me kisses now..LOL...just have to keep working wiht her..that is so cool to watch them come around.

I have two horses. One is a 30 yr old Thoroughbred gelding, Annapolis, who has been in my life for 21 years. We have done dressage and eventing, but now he's enjoying retirement and spends his days lounging around the pasture with my other horse, a Percheron mare named Star. I still ride Annapolis every now and then, just around the farm. Star is his constant companion, although I don't ride her at all, she's just a pasture potato and that's fine with me. She brightens my life just by being in it.
