Bella...I spend money every week on scrapping! There are a lot of freebies out there too, so if you are looking to save a bit of money you can always get stuff for free. Another idea is to watch for sales and specials offers from your favorite scrap designers and stores.

Hi, I have not bought any kits. I am a freebie hunter. I told Hubby my hobby wouldn't cost him much. lol, so far I've been able to keep my word. However it gets more tempting each day. But up to now, what you see on my pages has been all free stuff.

I only used Scrapbook Flair and Scrapbook Max as I had dial up and it took forever to download a freebie, but last week finally got high speed Internet and I am going crazy downloading freebies. I hope I don't over load my computer...(-:

You really don't need to buy kits (although it's tough not to!). Many designers give away full kits. Raspberry Road gives away a few freebies per week! Many also do free add ons or samples. There are also entire sites dedicated to finding freebies - and the kits are gorgeous!

Hi Bella - As a pensioner I can't really afford to buy kits but I scour the freebies on SBF Marketplace, the net and check out kits other friends have used. I google the designers name and see if there any freebies 9 times out of 10 there are xx

I have only been doing this for a month or so and I have mostly used freebie kits - there are some lovely designers out there offering great freebies - maybe we should share our freebie links?? I have only ever spent $10 on kits but am really happy with th freebies. I have just started making my own kits but need much more practise.

First let me say Thanks to Claudia for asking me to join this group. Now I too used to spend a lot of money on kits and find that I hardly ever used most of them. I also found that a lot of kits have the same items just recolored. So I started making my own elements to use. Inspiration comes from everywhere, I take pics of stuff around the home, collectibles etc and use them for elements. There are also some great tutorials on the web to make your own frames, backgrounds etc. Take Care Joanne

Hi Bella I also use freebies as I can't afford many , also I tried to buy some beauties a few weeks ago but had trouble with the payment part & had to give up, it was so dissapointing, try Digi scrap depot they are fantastic as they have many designers on their site & many of them are free.

I mostly use the freebie & kit add ons too. However when I have a little extra money I do spend a little now and then on kits. But like MattMom I find that I enjoy colorizing the kits I have. It's neat to be able to make the exact shade I want.
