My dad, my mom, I, and my sister live in Germany for the time being. We've been stationed here for about 5 years and love it. My dad is a chief in the air force and I think has served for 22 years. We will probably be moving this summer because you all know the military. We think Texas but no sure right now!

My nephew enlisted in the Marines before 9/11, his basic training date got pushed up a few months and he served 3 tours. His last 2 were in Iraq, one of them he spent a lot of time in Falluja (spelling?). He is out of the Marine Corps and living in his hometown, for now. When he left his rank was Sgt. We are all very proud of him and what he sacrificed for us and are glad he is home safe. He did suffer a few minor injuries but nothing major.
This is a great group and I am so sorry I did not see it sooner. I will be posting pages very soon.
Thank you for setting this one up.

workingmomw4: I totally understand what you mean. We were all so proud of Shane and it was really difficult when he went over there. I spoke to my sister-n-law about 2-3 times a week to see if she had heard from him or any news. Thankfully with the technology today he was able to use Instant Messenger a little so we could speak to him that way. I am sure he will do great. Shane was at Camp LeJune as well, he just got out last October, maybe your son knows him. Sgt. Shane Ryan. Let me know, that would be really neat to have that connection.
P.S. I have 4 kids too - all boys - yikes!!

My Grandfather served in the US Army Air Corp in WWII; my uncle was in the Air Force 20-some years ago; my cousin was in the Marines for a little bit, until a medical problem shortened her career; my husband is in the Air Force, he's doing the Reserves and getting his degree before going back to active duty. I hope to get some of his military pages done before he goes back to active duty.
