My first (2) pages were done after losing Mike's best friend. We had had a wonderful journey together the previous year touring the west. I had made a great paper scrapbook for each of us at Christmas so when I found SBF I had to scrap that most favorite time first. I have been paper scrapping for years and now I only paper scrap occasionally! I love this experience and the growth I have accomplished with all the kits and the knowledge I have gained from my SBF family! :}

A friend told me about sbf and I decided to try it out. I didn't have a clue how to digiscrap! I did a page of my son and his wife and kept it very simple without any extractions, etc cuz I didn't know how!! I love my new hobby and enjoy seeing all of the amazing talent you all have!

I was looking for photography tips when i found Flair. I downloaded the software and made this very first page LOL! I think is oooo simple, but I still like it hehe...I was so exited about this new found hobby! I had made paper scrapbooks before, but the kids it was really hard to do as they usually wanted to participate and left a BIG mess lol...so , this digital way to me was wow amazing!!! After this first page there was no stopping me. I never EVER thought I would be actually designing kits and owning a shop a year later...wow...I want to take this time to thank all the friends I have met here, who have supported me and have believed in me. Hi everyone. In july i was searching for scrapbooking tips. When I came across flair. I was going to just skip over it, but decided I will read what it is about. I'm so glad I did. I'm hooked. I did paper scraping for a few months. I was nt advance so i was looking for more tips. now I digital scrap more than just regular scrapbooking. My first page of course was a little plain, because i did not know about free kits and everything. It was about my cousins wedding. I am now working on a new album again. Now it wont be as plain because my knowlege has grown lol.

I figured I should use my first page as an introduction to myself & my family. I have been paper scrapping for years, my first book was a trip made to CA when I was just 16 way back in 1964. Pretty simple one :-) Then my girls started stamping & scrapping & got me hooked again. Then I went digital & found this website, I love it & spend my time in the evenings looking at desgins here & working on my own. Kaylee wouldn't run under it unless papaw took her hand. It was so cute. I decided this was the first page I was going to do to post. I'm Maggie, and I never scrapped before finding this website. I was looking for frames for Paint Shop Pro when I stumbled on this site. I was into collages, but not scrapping. I've heard about it, and I had plain albums for my pictures, but this was a whole new ballgame to me. I'm not a very artistic person. I can't even chew gum and walk at the same time, but this looked like something more I could do with my pictures.

I'm primarily a photographer. I do scrapping to decorate my photograph, not as a page by itself. My LO's are formed in my mind first. So when I do a page, it probably takes me about 20 minutes. Because I have my kit (I usually don't mix kits), and my picture, and I just put that picture in my mind onto the screen and that's it.

Kimberly told me the first page we make is like our first born. lol. I told her I wanted to strangle him a quite a few times, well my first page wasn't any better. It's not in Flair anymore, I had deleted it along with a few other first pages. Believe me they were not great. I will see if I have saved any.

After I got back from USA last year in October I had fell in love with all your scrapbook stores "over there".
But since I don't have patience to sit and do it that way, I decided to try and do it digital.
I went to a school a couple of years ago and learned to work in photoshop.
The first thing that crossed my mind was to make a gift for my daughter - a gift where her great great grandmother etc. was on. So I made this serie of 4 pages for her. They were framed in one big gold frame and she got it for her Birthday in December. She was trilled and I was addicted.... LOL
Then I was so lucky to find SBF and the rest is history.
It's a year ago since I made my first scrap page and today I got tons of them... Love it....

Hello everyone! I joined this site yesterday and am loving it!! Just joined this group mere minutes ago when I saw a thread elsewhere for first scrap pages. I haven't been digi scrapping very long at all.....i posted my first page so be nice....LOL. YOu can't go wrong with an adorable (altho bratty) subject :)

My first page was done when my cousin ask me to do something for her baby boy, but my graphics here in my laptop are all for girls so i search for the other staff and happen to see this site and i downloaded the software. I never do paper scrapbook, I only make personalize cards in pc, and make some animation with my friends pic to put in their site, I do it for enjoyments and for divertion since i been missing my family in Philippines at least by this, I can stop thinking about them for a short period.

I found SBF by accident when I was looking for something to redo my youngest son's baby book. When I got looking further into digital scrapping, I was hooked. I have done 8 pages total but the one I downloaded to this group, I designed completely from scratch. All the others were kits. So my first from scratch page is my oldest son with all his favorite things. I don't remember how I got the idea, but I scanned all his favorite things for the pics and used his last years school pic and I think it turned out ok. I am quite proud of it. It is just amazing how completely this hobby can take over your world. I look at everything differently now. I wonder, how can I scrap that? lol

My first page was done for christmas 2006. I used some techniques I learned in photoshop CS2 so I created a new ornament for my photo album of my family and grandkids. This was my frist one posted to this site. But it was not my first scrap page every done. My very first page was the one called "My Rose Garden" about "Roses in the rain" and then "beach things." Both pages were done for a class I took on Digital Scrapbooking at HP.COM. Thats how I got started and loved it every since.

Hi everyone!
I have been thinking about starting digital scrap booking for a while and found flair as I was paging through the internet to find ideas where to start. As there was a free set of things in one of the challenges, I decided to try with that.

Only scrapbooking I have ever done before is one project for my studies where I scrapbooked my "portfolio of learning" - and that was done in traditional way.

I'm afraid I will be addicted to digital scrapbooking. *LOL*

...even tho I am a bit intimidated by all the beautiful work in these pages - I will attempt to grow to the same level!

I fell for the digital scrapbooking, the first page I made, is of my cat, and it made me restless to do other pages. The scrapbook page I loaded in this group is of my cat, Sheba, 18 years old. I was a traditional scrap booker first.. you know the kind that looks at all the papers and embellishments for a long time - not wanting to cut up beautiful papers and use fabulous brads, flowers etc. Of course I did cut, tear etc and I run workshops on traditional scrapping, but it has taken time for this to become popular in England. I am also a card maker, demonstraor and I design quite a lot of the papers and elements myself. My first page was designed way back in June of this year and then I found SBF in the late Autumn but only posted this page after Christmas. Now I'm hooked

I am orignally a traditional scrapper.. you know, the one who buys all the beautiful papers and embellishments to look at for ages before grudingly using them in case you cant get them again. I also run scrapping workshops, but it has taken some time to become popular in England. I am also a cardmaker, demonstrator and design a lot of the papers and embelishments I use on my pages. My first digi page was designed back in the summer, then I discovered SBF in late Autumn, but didn't actually make my first post until after Christmas. Now Im hooked.

My first page is from a photo of my daughter's wedding, I think she is so beautiful and wanted to share this with others. I have been very humbled and touched by everyone who has taken the time to the post comments, vote, nominate to become a fan and/or friend and who have entered my first challenge. My very first page is of my nieces and nephew and my extended family! My daughter lives over 300 miles away and I found SBF and thought it was a way I could easily and creatively share our Christmas pics with her. (After all she is the one who got me hooked on scrappin to begin with.) I still enjoy paper scrappin with all of the papers and embellishments I get from SBF, but I will definitely be posting many more books at SBF!!

I always love pictures even I'm not a photographer. I always bring my old camera just incase there is a moment need to capture. I'm also a traditional scrapbooking until my sister tell me about digital scrapbooking. I tried to find the site through internet and I'm glad that I found SBF in Nov 2007. Since that time my husband always see me sitting in front of my precious old computer whenever I have a free time. I think he got jealous to my computer, that's why I'm planning to scrap his pictures and put nice words for him.. :-)

Btw, not only my first scrap.. even now, my pages are still far away from 'wonderful'.. I need to learn more from all of you..

Anyway, I'm very happy to found this site and to get a lot of nice and friendly friends here. Thanks to you all !

Hello! I've built a few traditional scrapbooks for my children, but now that I've found digital scrapbooking (thanks to a present of software from Santa) I don't think I can ever go back! My first digital page was about my husband's and my own birthday (we were born a week apart so we celebrate together). But I'm not sure I can include an image of that page here, it features our birthday cakes and his cake was a 3-D recreation of a certain part of a woman's anatomy that is enjoyed both by men and also by nursing babies.

So I'll add my second page, lol. I live in NH and we had a snow storm in April. It made me think of the saying, "April showers bring May flowers." and made me wonder... what does April snow bring?

I'm loving this site! There will be many more pages to come!

Hi everyone! I'm the mother of 5 (blended family). I work full time as a strategic analyst and we have a little photography side biz. We also create slideshows for people. My eldest daughter showed me this site and all you can do with the kits (we both have been using photoshop for years) when we were working on a slideshow for her sorority.

After we got through my sister's Cabo wedding adventure that 54 family members and friends attended we had put together a 20 minute slideshow. I still wanted to do something else with the 2,000+ photos my husband, kids and I had taken so my daughter tink8604 suggested that I try my hand at digital scrapbooking and joining this site. Well it's become my latest addiction. I love looking at everyone elses pages.

I found the Flair on June 1st and stayed up until 3:00 a.m. learning all I could. I was hooked immediately, and made my first page of my sister's 40th birthday. I've learned a lot since then (and still have a lot more to go), and more importantly made a lot of friends that I treasure!

I took a fantastic trip to Scotland last year and have around 7500 pictures to scrap. I could never get off the computer long enough to do physical scrapping..lol...My first scrap page was of Edinburgh Castle. It took forever for me to complete it! I didn't properly save it after completion either and spent several more hours trying to remember exactly what I had done so that I could reconstruct it! I have been totally hooked on digital scrapbooking since the end of December of last year. If only I had more time....I love looking at everyone else's work for inspiration. My first page was of my Great grand daughter Diane who was named after her grandmother Diane (my daughter) who was killed in a car wreck. I thought the red, white and blue outfit she had on would look good with the red, white and blue template at SBF. I had never heard of digital scrapbooking until my friend Brenda/Designs by Suetta showed me what she was doing on day while visiting her. I had a look around and decided this was a much cheaper and fun way' and besides I can let others see just what I have done and meet a diverse range of people at the same time. My first page was done with SBF software and it is of my daughter Skye, since that page I have learned to use photoshop and never looked back, I got better at my pages and was really hooked.

Hi, my first page is a photo of my daughter that was entered into a photography contest and won an honorable mention. I love taking photos and have been doing so for years. I like to scrapbook but I'm afraid I'm not very good at it since I do it very simply. But I prefer scrapbooking over placing photos in slips in an album, it gives the photos a spark and shows how you feel about the subject.

I am very new at scrapbooking. I bought alot of paper, brads, decorations, scissors, all kinds, etc to make my scrapbook. What got me interested in starting scrapbooking is all the pictures I have of my brother in Vietnam. I am planning on making 8 albums, 6 for all the children and 2 for my brother and for myself. I started taking the old pictures and making copies at CVS and decided to make them all in black and white. Well, needless to say, they are in a box awaiting for me to start..LOL. I was on the web looking for backgrounds of military types, but could not find any and then I came upon this site. I hope that I will be able to start on them in digital and also in paper and give them as gifts for Christmas 200. Thank you for telling about this group. I definitely will need the support.

Hi everybody,
After weeding through my cluttered photo boxes (cardboard boxes really) and the unbelievable amount of cd-roms filled with a dozen times the same pictures, I wanted to find a creative way to get some order in my chaos. My friend google brought me here and I'm already bitten. I made my first page right away as, let's say, a try-out.
My other friend, my boyfriend, surprised me with a scrapbook package to get those boxes straightend out. I think I've found myself a great new hobby!

Hello this late nite! I am so delighted to have found a new creative outlet! I'm new to digital scrapbooking and can't believe how fun it is. My first page was of me & my hubby, a popular topic besides us with our pups. I like searching for quotes online and luv astrology, so decided to mix them up and use it on my page.

I'm also happy to have found this site, hope it'll keep me entertained since I'm on spring break (I'm a kindergarten teacher) and will be enjoying late nites. Can't wait to do more!

I've been looking for the right hobby ever since I retired about two years ago and I'm pretty sure I've finally found it!

A couple of months ago, I bought a Nikon Coolpix, a pocket-sized camera which takes 7 megapix images. That led me to upgrade my older version of PhotoShop Elements to version 6; which led me to forums on using Elements; which led me to various scrapbooking forums; which led me to Flair and, well ... you know ... I'm hooked.

My first attempt - Big Break - is composed with pictures I took during a recent tournament held by our community's Men's Golf Club.

We live on a beautiful golf course, surrounded by an amazing amount of wildlife. Now the biggest question I must answer each day is "scrapbooking ... golf ... scrapbooking ... golf ... scrapbooking"

I just thought that I would do my grandparents wedding photo as I have never done scrapbooking before at all. So this is my first one as a digital scrapbook. I do make my own greeting cards. I am also learning to use paint shop pro and I just thought that I would try doing digital scrapbooking as I found heaps of free stuff on the internet

My first page is of our precious little girl. The pic was taken when she was only 8wks old. I just love the way she sleeps with her cheek resting on her little fist. I'd never scrapped in my life til I came across SBF, and now I'm hooked! I love it! :D

I've never really paper scrapped before but I'm much into art & technology. That's where SBF came in & changed my way of mixing art & technology in one.
ABout my first page is about me & my girlfriend. My way of expressing how she makes me feel "lifted" & loved. I also like the way of experimenting things & putting it together. ;)

Thank you for the invitation friend. Let me tell you that my first scrapbook was very recently, about 10 days, I learned to make beautiful things gradually, starting from scratch on the agenda, without knowing absolutely nothing, nor how to place letters, nor how to hit, for this, my Jael friend, also part of this community has helped me a lot has been of great blessing. As we all happens in that first scrapbook put the best of ourselves, and I am sure that in a time not too distant think I could have done better, but today I'm happy the result, to receive comments pleasant, Beautiful people such as you, who invest their time in saying that I did well.

I have some experience with computer graphics and desktop publishing, but it did not occur to me to try digital scrapbooking until I saw a magazine devoted to the subject at a local grocery. After a brief search I found this website and its free software. :) And what a find! This is not just a valuable resource, it's a community.

I am a middle-aged stay at home mom who lives in Michigan and I just got this program and joined this website about 2 days ago.

I never scrapped with paper/photos so this digital scrapbooking is my first foray ever into this scrapbook world. It features my teenage daughter who is obsessed with taking pictures of herself with a digital camera ::smile::

Hi everyone, I've been designing all kinds of things on the computer for a couple of years now but never did anything to do with digital scrap booking, there was a scrap booking program included in my computer when I bought it and I absolutely detested and hated the clip art on it, I just thought it was soo boring and flat and didn't know what to do with it so I deleted the whole thing.Then one year ago I got introduced to Scrap booking and needing a job started to look in to it,and realized that I'm talented enough to make those kind of borders and embellishments that aren't available in this country.It's only 2 week's ago when I surfed the net for sites and stumbled on this one through someones blog, and I was pleasantly surprised to see how much digital scrap booking has changed and how much I wanted to be part of it.

Hi, I have never scrapped before, not even as a young girl so I am very pleased with my first page of KC (kittyCat), sadly she has not been my companion for about 4 years.
I had been collecting freebies for almost 12 months when I finally had the confidence to scrap her, but only after I had read umpteen dozen tutorials and viewed what seemed like thousands of scrap pages.
I now realise that you scrap what you feel, there is no right or wrong way to do it, and that it's all a matter of personal perceptions.
This scrapping site is the greatest, and I'm quite surprised with the level I've embraced it. I have a sneaking suspicion that this is going to develop into a passion, its lovely to have so many others in the same boat, and feel there will be no shortage of life preservers should I need one.

Hello, I've never scrapped before. My oldest daughter is doing it and I was helping her look for some info online and found this site. I don't know who was more excited, her or me. It is so friendly here and I really love doing this. My other children love the software as well and have put it on their computers. What a great way for our family to work together and make some wonderful lasting memories.

Hi- I found SBF via my daughter. She didn't join but I did - and have been addicted ever since. My first scrap on Nov.4th 2007 was of my beautiful furbaby girls - I didn't have too much idea what I was doing and used elements from SBF design page - but I was pleased with the results.
I love SBF - Iv'e made so many friends - I love desiging my pages and also seeing everyone elses wonderful pages.

hi!!! I'm liz from Utah.

my mom and sister have both been into scrapbooking for a while, but I was like you, it was all so intimidating, and confusing, so I never really got into it.

every once in a while I'd try it out, and when I did well, it was really satisfying, so I was a lilttle bummed that I just couldn't really get into it.

but than I heard about digital scrapbooking, and thought I'd give it a try. Now I am ADDICTED!!! it's so fun! and easier than constant clipping and glueing..

one thing I love about it, is that you can experiment without losing anything. you can resize images without having to make copy after copy. you can add and take thing off in a matter of seconds.

the page I posted is the first page I did, it's picture from my wedding (August 3rd, 2007)

if anyone has any questions about the paper, embellishments, or effects I used, just ask :D:D

I bumped into scrapbook flair on accident one day--and I love it! The page posted is not officially my first--those had my kids in them and I decided I didn't want them to be public--so this is one of my first and I love it. I am still experimenting with using my own photo's as the background and loving it.

I’ve only made two scrapbook pages so far. My first page is of my kittens Sophie, and Adrian. I’d never considered making scrapbooks before, but when I came across the Scrapbook Flair web site, I just couldn’t believe all the beautiful pages that were being created using digital pictures.

And, when I realized there were all kinds of things to download, and use…I was like a kid in a candy store! I just couldn’t believe how many beautiful things could be used for making scrapbook pages on the computer. And, until the new wears off (which I doubt it will) my house work is definitely going to take a back seat to my new hobby! So, if you never see any pictures of the inside of my home (in the future) you’ll know why! lol

Also, any help for this newbie would definitely be appreciated!

Thanks for the invite to post my first page here. I have been Digi Scrapping for several years and have never done a paper scrap. I use PHotoShop CS3.I love the fact that when I pick up my lap top I have all my supplies with me. I did this page of my niece who lives in Brazil, and this is the first page that I uploaded to this site. I found this site while looking for a place to purchace 12x12 prints of my pages. It is a great site & I can't wait to get my pages in the mail to see how they turned out.

I will 2nd the get organized, would have saved me a lot of time in the beginning!

Hi, my name is Maureen. I have been doing digital scrapping for some time but only for my family.When I found Scrapbook Flair and a couple of other sites, I realised just how much I had to learn. I am a grandmother of six and have six children so have many photos to keep me busy for a long time.

Hi my name is Lone Grove, and it is my real name, and I am not a town! I live in Denmark with my cats. The page I have posted here is not the first I made, but I had not been scrapped very long when I made it. I felt very lucky that it went out how it did. But it is the first I uploaded to Flair.
I have been scrapped for some month, and I am addicted to that now. I have not made paperscrap, but a lot of other crafts, but I like this, it is not taking place up in the home. I was taking digiscrap up becaurse my youngst son have his Confirmation may 9. 2010 so I want to make a book for him on his special day.
