Instructions for Using Downloaded Templates from Scrapbook Flair

This topic is posted all over the forums and some people are asked personally how to do it. Well, it is hard to find the answer in the forums sometimes.
1. Download the template of your choice from Scrapbook Flair and save it in My Documents.
2. Go to My Documents and find your template. Check the format it is in. If it ends in ptf.zip then go to step 3, but if it's just .ptf, then skip to step 4.
3. Right click on your template and choose "rename," then erase the .zip from the end of your template's name.
4. Open your Scrapbook Flair program and choose "creat a new project" then "start a blank project."
5. Most of the templates on Scrapbook Flair are 12x12 in size. So, you can leave the size alone. In the top right corner of this window you should click "Show design ideas." The window should change and a button will appear in the bottom right side that says "Import my template." Click it and find your template.
6. Double-click your template and it will appear in your Scrapbook Flair window. Choose it from there and it will load onto your page.
There will be places for you to add your photos and you can add any extra embellishments to the page!

Hi - I am having a problem with these instructions. I know they should work and I am following them to the letter, but my templates still will not open. I am conputer savvy and have check my work several times and on different nights (just in case I was really doing something dumb one night I just couldn't see) I get all the way to double clicking my downloaded template in the 'import my templates window' from it's 'My Documents' location and it just doesn't show up in my window to choose it and load it. I have tries with several different downloded templates including the new Mother's Day ones I just downloaded tonight. Has anyone else had this problem? I have no problems with any of the background papers or embelishments. The Templates a really great though and I am very frustrated that I cannot seem to get them to work.
Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-(

I am frustrated.
I have looked at and followed all sorts of instructions. I am not an idiot and I have asked my daughter who has her BS in computer science for help. Bottom line is that the SDF software is not opening the downloads. I need an email addy for someone involved with the design of this site and product to find out why this is not working. I sent for the cd and maybe it is not functioning correctly, but whatever it is I am annoyed that I have wasted a lot of time on research and trying and it still does not work. Can someone help me with contact info on a person who actually knows how to get this working?
C.

I totally agree with problems with templates. I tried using one, added everything I wanted to, saved and saved and saved; exported to a jpg. and half the stuff was missing. VERY frustrating! Very leery about using templates in SF!
