great idea! as long as i know how to! any tutorials that tell u how to make embellishments? i think i can manage bkg papers.Do u have a particular theme in mind?

Reds. golds, burgandies, nice rich fall colors sound great. I'd like to try some gold embellishments to go with them, gold scrollwork maybe. A golden ivy vine. A gold frame wreath. An overlay page with light golden leaves all over it. Gold colored gardening tools. Though I can try these in any color. They don't have to be gold.

i kinda like terrigrace's idea of the colors..rich warm autumn colors..burgundy, dark brown with touch of gold..u guyz wd have to point me in the direction of tutorials to make embellishments though before we start making it!

Dola - this site has several tutorials. Even though they are not for the Gimp (most are for photoshop or psp) I found that I was able to still able to convert a lot of them.

terrigrace - gold elements sound great! I love your ideas. I think if everyone made just 2 backgrounds we'd be set on that, and then at least 1 element each, more if you'd like.

I got so excited at the idea, I've been working on a few things. I've got four different leaves and an acorn, an overlay with leaves, a frame, and a corner. All in gold. I'll pass on doing the background, though, if you don't mind.

Is there somewhere in particular we should upload our ideas? Make a 4shared account that we can all access? Thanks. I'm having fun.

I think I'm going to create a group just to use for making this kit. We can post our creations there. (I'll send out a note when I do) I didn't know you could make a 4shared account for more than one person to access...

I'm having too much fun making embellshments. I figured that we have some group members who might find making backgrounds the easiest so I'll be glad to let them do it.

I don't know how the 4shared accounts work, I've never done much except use it for downloads. Great idea to make a "kit" group. That should work just fine.

am trying my hands on backgrounds so far...Terrigrace the frame,corner and overlay u created are just GORGEOUS! they look great...i am trying to make a background that willl go very well with these embellishments ! LOL...grt job done
