I didnt have any photos of my grandfather Sandra and when I was searching the net for info I found the battalion he was one and one of my grandfather. I was stoked. So was my dad. I did an album up with all the info I found and have it to him for his birthday in March. He was over the moon.

I have another special photo of my husbands father at the age of 12 (1947) at the Adelaide railway station with his mother, they are welcoming his older brother home from the war - he had been shot. just click on search now - as a guest. If you find the names you want and there is a teal/green circle with an 'R' in it on the right of the screen there will be a digital copy of any reports.
The War memorial in Canberra will have every soldiers info like that (eventually) They are so helpful if you ever need to ring them.
Beacuse my grandfather was in 2 wars they amalgamation of his files so when I went looking I couldnt find much on the 1st war, but when I did, boy there were heaps.
