New to Gimp and Scrapbooking

I'm just getting started and am glad to have found this group. Thanks so much for the tutorial links. I've been trying Photoshop Elements 4 and Gimp. I think I like Gimp better. Has anyone else compared the two. Thanks!

My mom in law has Photoshop, I'm not sure if it's elements or not. I played with it on her computer and found out I could do more things and more quickly with GIMP. Though GIMP is my first photo editing software so it may just be my bias.

I honestly think the gimp and photoshop have so much in common, yes -Photoshop might be easier to use, but I think that is only becuase there are so much more tutorials out here and is much more popular, but once you follow a few good tutorials on the gimp... you can see that is deserve so much more credit than it gets!
