one of my favorites is to hold down Alt and hover the cursor between the two layers in the layers panel and when it changes shape (looks like a double circle) click

this is the clipping mask or group with previous. used for templates, masks, adjustment layers.

another shortcut -- stamp visible

Ctrl - Alt - Shift - E

combines all visible layers into one and makes a copy of it. best used when applying filters or special effects to whole page
