Challenge activity...
Challenge members and the "Scrapbookflair Team" has noticed something that we think needs to be seriously addressed. Whenever a challenge starts, many members tend to vote very early on in the challenge. As a result, challenge members who post their entries over the last 3 days or less get very few votes (as well as points) and therefore rarely get a chance to "win" in that challenge.

What we would like to see happen for those who join challenges (as well as all members a challenge owner states that "All members can vote in this challenge.") is to wait as long as possible to vote. I usually wait until 2 days or 12 hours to vote in any particular challenge and that gives those late entries a chance at winning. In addition, it makes a challenge more fair.

We understand that things can come up unexpectedly in life (ie: me being rushed to the emergency department and spending 3 weeks in the hospital in a serious condition) but please try your best to hold off on voting and challenges as long as possible. Thank you for your understanding!

That is why challenge owners (at least some of them) remind the members to go back and vote just before the end. I never vote until the day the challenge ends when I can see ALL pages and note their using of requirements.

Joce (Xguern66) ... it is great to hear that from you!

Valerie does a great job with reminding us members when a challenge is about to end and I am another one who waits as long as possible so I can see ALL the challenge entry pages before I vote so I can vote on merit and also vote on every entry.

As Lori says I always remind members to make sure they have voted by sending a message a day before my challenges end. It's noticeable that late entries in the last couple of days don't usually get an award.

Nicely stated Valerie (valrushton)!!!!!! You always do a fantastic job by sending a message a day before your challenges end which is also very courteous of you to do so.

I have entered challenges of late but on each one which I send in it says " remove from challenge" please can you tell me why?

I recall something similar happening before and this is why I have avoided joining in .

The "remove from challenge" is underneath all entries and is there so that you can remove your own entry if you wish to.

Valerie is correct and the only other reason there is the "remove from challenge" option is if the Scrapbookflair Team sees something that is inappropriate for the site.

This can be done in the main gallery as well if you want to remove your page or if the Scrapbookflair Team sees any page that is deemed inappropriate. You know (exhibiting sex inappropriately, violence or anything hurtful).

Thankfully, I haven't seen anything inappropriate over the years but there probably has been. Many people join this site but don't scrap for a long time; if at all. For those of you who are here now reading this... keep scrapping! :-)

I have to say most members who create challenges, except for the "Newbies" 1st challenge do remind us to vote. I myself tend to vote early, but do go back just before the challenge ends to vote newer entries.

Thank you for going back before challenges end for those who have entered a challenge late Simone! This is only fair and courteous for everyone. :-)
