I really dislike all these closed challenges. Not everyone wants to join challenges all the time and I don't see why people should be excluded from voting just because they aren't competitive. I thought the idea at SbF was to be as inclusive as possible, not to shut people out.

Also, I've returned to SbF after an absence of about a year and reading through the forums I was surprised to see someone admit that she doesn't c/v pages unless they're in a challenge that she joined. Can't be bothered to c/v any other pages? That's really sad. Still, at least I know now why the person concerned always ignored my pages even though I always commented and voted on all of hers: I just wasn't useful to her in terms of a prospective vote. Wish I'd been sharp enough to figure out her modus operandi for myself though, it would have saved me years of bewilderment! Hope there aren't too many others with that attitude.
