Technical Issues on the Site
Dear ScrapbookFlair Members,

The leadership team at ScrapbookFlair has read your many comments in our Forums and Customer Support and we are very concerned by what you are reporting.

We know we have issues with the ScrapbookFlair.com website. We have a speed problem and also an underlying technical problem but unfortunately haven't identified yet what it is or how to fix it. These problems started about 3 months ago after we changed our site architecture so we could offer a better experience to mobile and tablet users. While that changeover went well, it slowed the ScrapbookFlair.com significantly. We have been working on trying to identify and fix these problems EVERY DAY since you started reporting them. Please know that we read your messages and are frustrated ourselves that we can't fix the problems faster. We are consistently working on them, but the problem(s) have proven elusive.

The best way for you to help us is to keep reporting your problems to Customer Support at support@scrapbookflair.com. If possible, give us the exact details and circumstances on how the problem presents itself (example: I am having difficulty uploading pages, I use the FireFox Browser, version ___, I am using ScrapbookFlair software to do the uploads like I always have, etc.).

Please know, we hear you and we care about our community and are determined to solve and fix these problems. We're trying our best - so please be patient with us as we work to find the solution. We value the contribution of every ScrapbookFlair Member and will always do our part to make this a fun and uplifting community. Thank you for doing your part in keeping us apprised on key issues.

I have been a member for a long time, but not on as much as I used to be, I noticed that there are hardly ever any new free downloads in the collections .....not sure if that is due to site issues, or lack of donations, I really enjoy the complementary collections. Also Im not a premium member but I was, I would think some type of compensation to premium members would be in order, since the site is having issues. Maybe free prints coupons or some incentive. Trying to get back into digital scraping.

After I've clicked on new messages one my homepage search just continues to go round and round until it Times itself out , then I get the error message with the yellow background. Other times through the day it's brilliant . Usually awkward at evenings.

I surely wish my husband were alive because you could have hired him to solve the problem with him being a great software/hardware engineer for the government. He used to write programs for websites all the time and if he could write programs to teach the astronauts how to fly the shuttle... I'm sure he could figure this out. I miss him so badly.

I too, finding it hard to sign in and leaving comments, votes (pages) etc. It takes a long time to load my homepage and even longer when I want to check my message center. It's obviously very stressful, but what can we do? It wasn't like this when I first joined Jan.12, 2016. Now even with high speed internet I seem to be spending more time at my computer just to load my homepage. I will come back another time, perhaps it will be better.

We have read your comments every day with a heavy heart, since we know you are frustrated with the performance and response time on ScrapbookFlair. We too have been frustrated because it turns out the internal problems with the website have been much more difficult to find and fix than we first expected. As you may remember, the reason everything slowed down many months ago was because we wanted to make ScrapbookFlair more functional and accessible on Tablets and Mobile devices since so many of us use those platforms now...those platforms are working now but we never expected these slow downs to happen.

But there's GOOD NEWS!! Thanks to the persistence and diligence of our developers, we've made a breakthrough in figuring out the problems and over the next few weeks we should see an improvement in speed in most every part of the site.

If something seems wrong like a link that goes to the wrong page or anything else out of the ordinary, please try to do a screen capture, describe what went wrong in an email, attach the screen capture to your message and send it to: support@scrapbookflair.com. This will help us get the problems fixed faster, since we can't catch everything ourselves.

Hi Rae Ann. I have to take back any comments I made about the site improving. Just uploaded a couple of CT pages and took on average about 45 seconds between each change over. Then I tried to get into my Message Centre - got the dreaded Error message twice and than had to wait 74 seconds before my messages came up. What has happened to the improvements?? I do hope we aren't going backwards. Joce.

I too had a lot of difficulties with the site...it constantly run into time-out, crashes, 1 message from 1 person comes in 12 times and while uploading, the site log off of my account and pages don't get uploaded at all. That means, I have to start all over again, that is very frustrating. Perhaps one of the reasons why scrap pages are not uploaded as much as before. Furthermore, I found it very disheartening to still see the unfairness in challenges...not all of them, but still. Scrap booking is suppose to be fun, and is known for the therapeutic purposes, but it seems to be very stressful in some challenge/s...even in your own created challenge/s. Some absolute beautiful connection is made through Scrapbook Flair, it will be pity to leave the website and rather have lost in order for more peace of mind.

Sat.1.10.16 13.08pm UK time - Took me 8 minutes to 1-open SBF - 2 get into my home page - 3 have a look at my new page - 4 get into the forums and I haven't even tried to get into my message centre yet. During all this time had 4 XML error problem messages flip up -------After such an improvement yesterday we are now back to square one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you read all the above comments from different parts of the world it's pretty obvious that there is absolutely no improvement and things are getting worse instead of better...I don't know where you are doing your checks and say the speed has been good in the last 48 hours because it is just not happening and to repeat myself it is now worse than ever.

Moving from Home page to other pages was slow last night and this morning because of the pop up error, which we just fixed a couple hours ago. It should be faster now. Since Forums have tons of posts, it is reasonable to take 40 seconds to open. It will be faster after we remove the old posts.

It seems a new feature to view new messages and comments on Message Center until you mark them as READ. There is a link above comments "mark Comments as Read" which will disappear these comments. I agree that support needs to check and show us newer comments to start instead of two years.

Yes I agree with simsage - the favourite pages of members seems to be a bit of a failure. Hers as she says is stuck but when they do turn over it's the same ones showing every time you check in. The later favourites never get shown. I thought way back this was supposed to have been sorted. Otherwise all is going well now - just wish some of the members we lost would come back.

Saw your fixed message of Oct 25/16, checked my HP the other day & again today -- I still have numerous duplicates & triplicates in my Home Page 'Friends' list & some dups in my Fan list. (Easiest to quickly see when you sort by 'Friend or Fan Name' if anyone is interested)

Just wondering if those still affected could get a fix too?

Ok whats going on??? I have not been able to get my vote count (was due at 11 pm its now 20 past 11) for my challenge so I can advise the winners.
I also tried unsuccessfully both times, to up load a new challenge, and after loading all the info got error messages, its very disheartening when we are trying to keep the few members we have left, by adding challenges, of which there are so few, to have this happen.
I really is disappointing. Get with it guys!
