Hi Annita....I don't have windows 8, but I do know it can be used as a Win 7 computer. Find the desktop icon and click on it and you should look like a win 7 computer. Then navigate windows explorer as usual. ex: if you kept your scrapbooking material in documents it should be there. I'll also check with some users of 8 that I know on your questions.
If you have photoshop7, is it an installed software or an application? If you downloaded it as an application just click on its app icon. Hope I helped you a little.

Back again....one little suggestion is you can right click on your Photoshop 7 and see if you get an option to run it in a compatibility mode (with XP) It's worth a try.

Annita, were you able to download the scrapbookflair software on your windows 8? I have tried, but it says that it`s not possible to set it on my computer (I`m using my new laptop here in the states)

Neeltje, I use Scrapbook Max2 and didn't even try SBF! I got the Topaz Clean to finally go to photoshp7, I don't really know what I did! LOL! Now for the Topaz Adjust!. Still trying to get the speakers to activate! SAYS it not plugged in, Sometimes! Annita xoxooxox

I bought a computer with windows 8 and was fine with the scrapbook software UNTIL I upgraded to windows 8.1. Now I can't open the software at all. I uninstalled it and then re-installed it. I got a message stating This program has compatibility issues. I tried to get help online and it said No solutions found for Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1. Does this mean I won't ever be able to use the scrapbook flair software any more?

Annita. From start screen click on Desktop tile. Right click on status bar across the bottom. Click on Properties. select Navigation tab. Go to where it says Start Screen. Tick where it says "When I sign in.....go to desktop instead of start" now when you open your computer you will have your desk top open. If you want your apps tiles just click on the Windows tab in the left corner. Hope this helps. Joce.

- this weekend windows have automatically upgraded my windows 8 to 8.1 whether you wanted it or not. Now it is impossible to download the 1.1.net framework. Windows 8 will no longer be available in April. SBF originally played OK in windows 8 as I was able to download the framework. SBF software is the only one I have used since 1997 so unless SBF support can change the download compatibility of the software to be compatible with windows 8.1 I'm stuffed and won't be able to make any more pages and |Im not the only one!!!! --- SO PLEASE SBF HELP us windows 8/8.1 user sxxxxxx

That's awful Madeline. I upgraded to 8.1 by choice but then I no longer use SBF software changing to PSE a few years back. I do hope something can be done for you. I'm going to have a go at downloading it again and see what happens.

Yes I was reminded about the 1.1 net framework (whatever that is?) but no I couldn't go any further - sorry. Must be a real bummer for you. What about trying paint.net it's free and lots of people on here use it. I have it but haven't used it much. Sure you would get lots of help with it. It does work with 8.1. Joce xx

Hello I just came back after a 4 year hiatus (health reasons) I had got a new comp since then and just reinstalled SBF on my windows 8.1 The first time I tried it gave me the net framework error. The second attempt I RIGHT-clicked on the install file and choose Troubleshoot compatibility, then when it went to the screen that says test your software I then installed it. At the end I chose SAVE with these settings. It is working for me
