Hi Stacey, I have PSPX2 but really don't know how to use it either but I did give the page curl a go and it seems pretty easy. Open the page that you want to curl, then select Effects - image effects - page curl Then you can play around with all the settings, you can change which corner you want to curl, the color of the curl, size etc. Hope this helps somewhat.

I have tried in Paint.Net but never had any success as it curls the whole page not just the corner & I can't see how to set the size!

linda, just tried it , any idea how to use your own paper or patterns under the curl or can you only use the color selector. I still had to go back to photoshop as I don't know how to move layers around

Did you ever have any luck with this? (I know the post has been here for a while.) In PSP8 the page curl is an option under Effects-->Image Effects-->Page Curl. The use is fairly straight forward; there are options for which corner you want to curl, how much vertical and horizontal curl you want, radius, and what color or transparent. I could not change to the transparent option with the image as background--it must be a layer.
Best wishes, Z
