I always found the best tactic is to talk when you're calm. Be clear, yet non-argumentative. If you don't, it tends to go in one ear out the other if you're yelling or angry. They just won't listen. The same goes for us...if someone is yelling, or reaction is to get mad or defensive. Calmly explain that you two share expenses and that any big purchase needs to be decided between the two of you. That's my 2 cents anyway.

OMG! This sounds like a repeat of my life about 15 years ago! I waited for my kids to grow up before I left. That was a mistake. Does he do this sort of thing on a regular basis? If I were you, that would be my determining factor.

Ouch ... whatever you decide - good luck to you. I am not sure whether staying together for the sake of kids is a good thing or not, I guess it all depends on whether you fight while they are around ... either way it is hard - hope it all works out for you.

thanks ladies, I was really upset when I posted this, and wish I hadnt, Im sorry to vent on this upbeat positive site, but sometimes I just need to vent. Since this posting, he agreed it was a really bad deal and after emailing the corporate office with the researched info, they contacted the local dealer, and he offered to let us out of the deal, AND we got our 500.00 deposit back, which is sometimes hard to get back, we dodged a huge bullet here, and I convinced him to just keep what he has, make due, and save up for what he wants to buy with cash. wow, we are better today, but I thought I was cracking up,:)

I think we ALL have days like that now and again....and I'm sure nobody minds you venting here! :)

By the way....having worked in car dealerships I can vouch for the fact that you can ALWAYS negotiate! Car sales are down in recent years and the dealerships are hurting!
