Windows 7
I'm soon going to have to replace my existing Hewlett Packard with XP. I was wondering how many of you out there have new computers with Windows 7 & how do you like it? How different is it & how easy is it to learn?

hi - I have a newish laptop with windows 7 and I still have a main computer without it. I think I would find the transition easier if I only had windows 7 but I'm getting there and am sure I'll find it easier.

Windows 7 is wonderful, as far as I'm concerned. It's a faster and smoother operating system, with some nice and convenient features added. If you do get it, make sure your computer is a 64 bit Operating System, and that your Windows 7 matches. That way you will fully utilize all Windows 7 has to offer. Have fun!!

Thank you both for responding.Shannonsnan, I guess I'll be going back & forth too because here at work my computer is XP.I've had my eye on a particular computer that is a 64 bit Windows 7, but a little too pricey for me. I've been watching the ads every week hoping it'll go on sale. Instead, they've raised the price by $20! I don't know how much longer my old one will last, so I guess I'm going to have to choose a different one..but thanks Maggie, I'll make sure it's 64 bit.

Well, that's a step up from XP. If you had Vista, it would be different but easier to figure out. I won't get it until I get a new computer, but my husband uses it for work and he likes it a lot. He likes it better than Vista...then again, not many computer nerds liked Vista. But, Windows 7 is supposed to be excellent.

Hello, In Windows 7 your Picture folder is not in My Documents. To navigate to it, you need to click on My Computer/C: drive/Users/your computer name.......then look for Libraries. Your Picture file is in the Libraries. Hope this helps.

I have Windows 7 and love it! It's sooooo much better than Vista! I haven't had any problems at all with SBF, software...anything! The picture file is a pain if you have it on your C:/ drive. But, I have all my photos on my E:/ drive (I have two hard drives). So, my access to photos isn't hard. P.S. You all can put your photos where ever you want.
