I am going through my Sunday paper and found this 1 TB external hard drive for $174.99, is this a good deal? Really need more storage but I'm definately not computer savy, any insight is much appreciated.

that sounds good to me, my son got a 500 GB for about $125 so it sounds to me that that is a great deal! But I don't really know.

I use my xternal drive to store myscrapbook kits, however, when I access the drive in scrapbookflair...the order ofthe kits is not the same as I have them when looking at them on the external drive, any way of being able to open the external drive from scrapbook flair, and at least have them in alphabetical order? nemo

You can access your external drive from Scrapbook Flair. When your browser comes up, just browse to the drive it's on. When you arrange your files on your external drive you can arrange them by date, alphabetically, etc. Just choose your option by right clicking on a blank area of your screen in the folder and choose "arrange icons by" then make your choice from the drop down menu. In SBF items are categorized mostly by types. You could rename your folders to match the SBF filing system, if you choose. Good Luck!!

Be aware that most software's work smoother (less lock ups) when the materials you are accessing are on the main drive. Hope this helps.

Thanks Maggie, yes I only use the external drive for Scrapbookflair folders...I found that when I had all the folders on the hard drive, the Scrapbookflair program took longer to open, I do agree, if you add several templates...that does slow downthe opening process.... Thanks for your great info....
