Hi Annita
I use Craftartist Pro where it is possible to convert a word into a frame or a stencil and then it can be "filled" with sections of a photo or elements. I'm not sure how one would do this in other software but hoping someone is able to give us a few pointers.
Take care Lee xxxx

In Craftartist one uses a font that is quite big and bold with thick letters to create a word. The word is then dragged into the stencil tool bar. I usually drag the words under the shapes heading. The stencil is created and can then be dragged back onto your page and filled with elements or sections of your photo. Once you are happy with the effect the stencil is lifted by holding down the control button and clicking on "lift stencil".
Hope this is helpful

Thank you so much Joce for coming to the rescue. I do not know anything about software other than CAP so I would not have been able to give Annita any advice.
