Author gingersnaps says: My mother's name is Shirley; growing up her family called her Chevy. She was a stay at home mom until her four children were grown up, and then she went to work for my dad's company. My parents had lots of friends and enjoyed socializing, playing poker, and going to Las Vegas and Atlantic city. Mom has a fear of flying, but dad got her to go to Europe, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, Paradise Island, and St. Maarteen among other places. I got her to go to California when my niece was born. I am sure she likes other "old time" actors in addition to Cary Grant. Some of her favorite movies include Gigi, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music and The American President (she loves a good romantic movie).
