I was getting ready to do my page and came here to see everyone elses and am totally confused. Maybe I don't get Scraplifting. Aren't we supposed to follow the basic style of the page we are lifting?

I think you can pick and choose which parts that you want to lift. For example you could have one picture only on one side of the page and use any other elements or styles you want. Or you might like the acents used and find something similar to decorate your page.

In THIS challenge it's not really a pick or choose (I already did that for you)hee I choose the PAGE to be LIFTED and
I have set down Very Specific guidelines to follow.

Basically, in this lift ONE photo to One SIDE or the other SIDE Not Both and leaving an open area with nothing in it.....please STUDY the Original page to Lift and you will See, which brings me to another point MY eyes Do NOT SEE what YOU See as YOUR EYES don't SEE what OTHERS see.

Certainly, Not no one's work is worthy of a crituque in THIS challenge. (that's another challenge all together).

If the page does Not fit my requirements it will remain BUT will NOT Place and Award and be Removed at challenge end.

Be Kind and Considerate and remember what you see may not be what another does. and as long as the page has Followed my requirements it will stay.

If you think I've missed something give me a private pm and I will considers your issue.

Thank you,
KimberlyRae

Thanks for the clarification Kimberly. I hope nobody thought I was knocking their page, I was just confused and frustrated because I can't seem to find or make those brackets work for me and have done ohhhh about 20 different things trying to make it work.

That's why I gave up and didn't include that particular element in my page. Something I learned in art school was that when you use something as inspiration, sometimes others won't see it. Frustrating sometimes for everyone.

Bonnie~ dear try these things ok
cut your bracket in half and paste it in that way
Or do like I do and just scoot the bracket over to one side and call it good...hee...let me know if you're still having troubles I will try to help where I can.
Please, do note I'm not on every day as I have some family matters to attend to but I peak in from time to time to keep you ladies in line....LOL!! have fun!! ox

Thanks Kimberly. I tried 100 different ways to cut a bracket and it just won't work in Scrapbook Factory! I normally can get around anything but not this time! After spending days on end trying to come up with something I gave up and worked on another challenge. I used this picture in that challenge and then thought to myself "Thats me trying to do the scraplift challenge!" It was perfect and the rest just came with it.

Miss Bonnie~try these:
use your eraser make sure the bracket layer is selected and erase the parts you dont want...chose a sqaure brush....want a straight line to erase~ click on your shift key and erase..pretty cool!
Another thing is moving the bracket clear over to one side the other side won't show....I wish I was at your desk to show you, dear. . hehehe have fun and don't give up hope. ox
