I found this Awesome article I would like to share with you.
What is Scraplifting?
Well, let's break it down: SCRAP - LIFT
SCRAP-short for scrapbooking, right? That part is pretty easy.
LIFT-of course by definition it means to pick something up, but it is also a slang term (here in the states) for "stealing" or maybe "borrowing without permission".

So to "Scraplift" essentially means to "steal or borrow scrapbooking", but the way that it is used is to copy some element or more appropriately to "be inspired" by a particular featured scrapper's layout. Inspiration can be found in all sorts of ways from another scrapper's layout. Perhaps the overall layout design is terrific or maybe the picture reminds you of one of your own or the color scheme is appealing or the way certain elements or embellishments are used on the page.

And because the digiscrapping community is pretty big on giving proper credit, here are a few things to remember when participating in a scraplift challenge(or if you are inspired by a layout outside of a challenge that you scraplift on your own).

1: Always, Always, Always give credit to the layout and the scrapper that you are scraplifting in your description of you layout where you credit everything else.

2: Always Provide a link to the layout you scraplifted.

3: Remember to post a comment on the layout you are scraplifting, we all love these, right? Besides, its just plain polite to let someone know you are "borrowing" something.

4: Finally, what not to do: Just in case you were wondering or still not exactly sure, you need to CREATE YOUR OWN LAYOUT.
Its perfectly cool to be inspired and make a simliar replica of a layout, it is NOT acceptable however to literally copy another's layout and just insert your own photos.

Well, I hope that this was helpful.
Happy Scraplifting!!

OH MY!!!! Now this is a challenge! LOL LOL
I thought my rulz were complicated...LOL Compare to yours .....NOT!!!!!!
You're very driven to put your points across. Your explanations/instructions are pretty well, let's say, intellectual refined! Hehehehe I feel like I'm at the doctor's reading his prescriptions drugs. Hehehe Hahahahaha
One thing I learnt (recently) the more complicated you make a challenge to be the more people/members/SBF don't get it! Hehehe
I certainly don't understand scrap lift! I will have to read this 100 times or more before I can practice and then perhaps then ONLY then join a future challenge like this. Hehehe
Good luck to all! Ciao Kimberly.
