just to point out - SBF does not always allow links to be shown in the Credits section. I tried to post a link to a blog for the Burnt Chai kit but it would not accept it so i just did a partial link to the blog owner's site. so it cannot just be copied and pasted as is...

You can post directly to a kit, but not to a site - that's why the blog addresses don't work.

Some of the items I have downloaded I only (as far as I can tell) have only the barest of information to distinguish one item from another in the kit. Some kits have a name or a partial name. I would not know how to obtain more information than I normally credit. So is that okay.
And technically if you upload as a PNG file you should be able to use the elements, however I would not know, for I have never done that myself (other than a QP just to try it out once).

You can't provide downloadable files from other designers by letting them download quick pages (for example) files from this site. You have to direct them to where you got it from. Otherwise it is piracy. If you have it in a layout of yours that includes your photographs and you give credit, that is ok. Any information you have about the source could help if someone did a search to look for it. By the way, I put blog addresses by sticking spaces before or after the . in .com and .blogspot (for example) so the SBF software does not recognize it. It's not clickable so it's ok. I don't know how SBF software would know the difference between a kit address and a site address. The site rules say you can't have clickable links. Hope this helps.
