Hope this can help !
1) Opened a new 12x12 document with a white background (instead of transparent) 2) Using your shape tool (cookie cutter tool) draw a rectangle. 3) Switch to your text tool and type the word you want to use (I used the Franklin Gothic Heavy font) 4) Resize (stretch) your text to the width of the rectangle and the height you desire and then position it directly under your shape with the very top of the word slightly touching. Getting the word exactly positioned from end to end is the finicky part. 5) Right click on your text layer and choose Rasterize Type or Simplify Layer. 6) Merge your text and shape layer and you have a template! I created all of my templates in 12x12 size but they can easily be modified to brag book size by doing the following: 1) Open the 12x12 template 2) Go to Image-Image Size- Change the width and height to 6 inches 3) Control N or open an new document, 6 inches wide, 4 inches height, white background 4) Click on your word shape (black shape) in your layers palette then go to the template and drag the shape to the new document while holding down the shift key (will automatically centre it) and there you go - no more resizing necessary! Thanks to Pamela McNicol from Digitreats for these instructions.
