The most successful fundraiser we have done at our church was taking the parable of the talents & challenging everyone who wanted to participate by giving them $1 and having them use their talents to make the $1 grow. People made crafts & sold them; baked goodies & sold them; some prepared meals (after they had increased their starting $). They were just to use their talent however they could. I don't know if this is something Carly could do with the others who will be going.
