I am new to scrapbooking. Could you please tell me what is meant by an Overlay? Also, I use Photoshop - can elements created in this be saved as PNG files? I am not familiar with this format. Thanks! :-)

My understanding of an Overlay is, something created in any software that is see through. Which means you place it on top of a background and then then you can see the background through it. Like a haze or fog, etc. Yes, you can save elements in Photoshop as png files. This file is great for transparent backgrounds, so when you place the image on a blue back ground you don't get a white box around it. pretty neftiy.
