Stacey it is really ahrd to explain what altered art is. I don't think I have a complete grasp myself. Changing an existing work of art is of course altered art. Creating art from everyday objects - turning them into something different is altered art. Patty Anne is an expert at gathering all sorts of pieces and turning them into a unique art page. I guess you could say anything goes. If you check out ATC's on the web they are great examples of altered art.

well i still don' t have a clear graps . what you say makes sense but as I said i see pages called altered art ( on other sites) that don't look altered to me but I did find some pics on google that look altered to me so am working on a page now- we'll see how it turns out. this was a challenge for me as i really do like the look of some of what i have seen.
