Inspired by love...

I love my son and my husband - they inspire me, they frustrate me and they fill my life with all the love and blessings and miracles I never imagined I could experience. They are so much alike, I hardly see myself in him (although my Mom sees lots of me in him) but I see lots of Earl. They inspire lots of my scrapbook layouts, and my husband (with his Mom) got me into scrapbooking. My favorite gift from my dear husband is a scrapbooking layout - a great gift!! :-)

So today I went into a scrapbooking store for the first time in their new location - and splurged a bit on some paper, stickers and other goodies. Got me thinking about the other loves that inspire me - my Grandma's garden, my yard, the little things Luke loves and Earl's wishes and dreams. I'm pretty excited to scrapbook his graduation from University. I've been looking at challenges and wanting to do some but of course as soon as I sit down a little voice calls me, "Mama I need you,..." or my hubby says "You aren't busy are you? Can we...?" LOL

Good news, bad news

I am not a morning person, that's the bad news, the good news is that I'm trying to be more of one. Mostly because my son and husband are very happy morning people, and are mostly happy when EVERYONE is awake! So now I've found a way to enjoy my mornings a bit more - I'm making a part of it my scrap-time. I work on my Facebook Group (Oh Scrap!), find images, sort photos and build pages on the table. My little boy gets to play and color and we visit about creating 'pretty things' and it's a nice way to start my day. On those days when I've not gotten enough sleep or I'm just too tired I revert to my old zombie habits but those days are slowly moving to the past...you know you've left your night owl days behind when 7:30 am is SLEEPING IN! :-) But I am happy to embrace my blessings whatever time of day (or night) they choose to appear.
