It's sooooo late. I didn't get any sleep last night. I made a few pages today.
Tomorrow afternoon, my family is going out for a drive. I hope to come home with a whole slew of pictures. I had a really good time today making the pages I did. I found new kits that I just love. My goodness, there are so many to choose from, and they are all just wonderful. I can't believe I didn't discover this hobby sooner. I really enjoy it.

May 23, 2008...Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my moms birthday. She passed away in 2007. She was a very good hearted person, and I miss her very much.

It finally stopped raining! Just in time for my son to go on his big field trip to the baseball game. I hope all the kids have a great time. They are going to a science museum as well, I would have loved that. Science is so amazing.
Science intrigues me...Gods Grace Amazes me!

I will probobly get a few pages done today. I have challenged myself to try and get everyone in my family done. Only a couple more of my kids to go. A son and a son-in law. Neither of them like taking pictures, so this will be a tough challenge for me. When I have finished that I plan to do my parents and brother and sisters, along with my husbands family. Oh my!

Well, I'm off to scrap.

Good Morning!

I wish it would stop raining already! The weekend is coming...I have places to go, pictures to take.

I finally got some pictures of my daughter in her Prom Dress. I wasn't able to be home when she was getting ready, so her friends mom took some pictures for me. She was lovely, just like I knew she would be. And Graduation is next week. Lots more scrapping to do.
WOW! This will be our fourth child Graduating. I don't feel old enough to have four children out of school!
My son Ricky is going on a field trip to a Pittsburgh tomorrow. He bought a disposable camera to take pictures. They are going to the Science Center and then a Pirates game. He asked if I would let him scrap a couple of his pictures and put them on here for him. So you'll be seeing some of his work soon.
I watch my grandson Landon everyday while his mom works, I have to go get him in just a bit so I will say goodbye for now.

Later that evening...
I had a good day. I got a few pages scrapped and entered a couple more challenges. Gained a few friends, and a few fans.
I hope to get some more pages done tomorrow since I will be out this weekend taking more pictures. My husband and I are trying to come up with ideas of things to look for to take pictures of. I thought maybe flags this weekend since it's Memorial day...but then again, all those parades, picnics.

Memorial day is somber, but special. A special time to remember those who gave their life for our country. A special time to reflect on the lives of loved ones who have passed on. I lost my mother, my sister, a very dear aunt, and a brother-in-law all within the past year and a half.
I have been trying to work on memorial pages, but nothing seems to work.

Well...it's late, time for bed. Good-night all!

May 21, 2008...Later that day.

Just got back from my son's olympics...called due to rain.
He did however get to compete in two of his races. He came in second for the 30 meter dash. And first place for the 600 meter run!!! He did a great job. I'm so proud of him. I got alot of pictures of him and his friends. I guess we all know what I'll be doing now. Lot's of scrapbooking pages!

I have entered four of the challenges. I'm very new and I don't know alot of people, so I don't expect much. But I was very happy to find that my grandaughters scrapbook page is one of the challenge owners choice. She's adorable and it's great to see her cute little face there. She's entered in the any page will do challenge. If you get the chance take a look. I can't get over how many great pages that there are out there. So many talented people.

I posted a picture of my son from his school olympics. I can't wait til I get more time to do a few more. I like doing pages of him, I guess because he appreciates them.

I only have a few moments to get this started, so I'm not quite sure what to say.

I am getting ready to go to my sons Olympics. Our local school puts on an olympic day for all children grades k-5.
They spend two days competeing in different events like running, the hurdles, long jump, obstacle course, tug of war...and so on. My son will be doing alot of running. He is registered in the 30M Dash, 600M Run, 200M Relay and the Tug of War. Each class chooses a country to represent. My sons class is representing Rwanda. Most years they try to bring someone from each country in to tell the students about their lives there. And they spend a day cooking meals that would be served in the country they represent. It's such a fun and good way to introduce our young kids to differnt parts of the world.

Anyway. This is my very first Blog. I'm not sure how interesting it will be. I'm not quite sure what to do. But I will put forth my best effort to make it the best it can be for all those who choose to read it.

Well, I'm off now...be back soon.
