Good To Be Back

Hi everyone, I think I am back from the brink of craziness. Finally got moved in. Mind you, moved in, not settled. I think that will take more time than anticipated.

I did get my own room for my computer and scrapbook supplies. It is nice to know it is all in one place. Not organized, but findable. Such a word? Most layouts will be digital until I can set everything up. Soon I hope.

I have enjoyed browsing and checking out all of the layouts since I have been gone. Noticed some really cool pages that are giving me ideas. I try to write down the ideas so I don't forget.

Glad to be back and hope to meet new people.

Fast Year

Wow, this year seems to be going by really fast. I haven't even been on my computer much lately. I haven't had a chance to scrap either.

We are house hunting and have been busy checking out areas. We are looking "out of Town" so that doesn't leave much time for anything else.

I will try to get more involved with scrapping soon. I think I can slack off other projects for a while. Noticing some really great layouts recently. Plus the challenges are getting more interesting.

New Year

Hi everyone. Hope the new year will be bringing you all you want and need. About hte only thing I really need just now is TIME. I never seem to have enough. Even if I schedule time for scrapbooking, something interferes.

As some of you saw, my Brother passed the end of December. I did a few scrap pages on him. It was a way for me to remember and to get out some frustration. Those were the last pages I have done. I am now working on scanning pictures and editing them for the next project. What it wil be I don't know, but I am sure it will be different.

I am also working on pages for my genealogy. That is why I am busy scanning. A lot of the photos are from the '40s and '50s. When life seemed simpler, but I was also a lot younger.

I have noticed the increase in price on scrapping supplies. It seems to be everywhere. I suppose I will need to cut back on wasting and start saving more of my scraps. I don't always and that is a sure sign of wasting. I finally sorted and bagged some supplies (organized I am not)and even labeled a few.

Scrapbook Flair has come a long way. The new year is bringing new changes that are good. I am looking forward to more pages in the gallery. Everyone is doing such a great job. There are some really unique layouts lately. I am glad everyone is motivated.

Time Flying

Can you believe it, we are already in the middle of November. Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is a round the corner. Oh my goodness, Christmas is just a block away. I was thinking about what to cook for Thanksgiving with the turkey when I realized I was looking at Christmas decorations everywhere.

We were in Target today and all their Christmas decorations are up and shining. Couldn't beleive it. Then my daughter talks about putting up the tree before Thanksgiving. I think she is bored a needs something to do. Of course, I usually put my tree up Thanksgiving weekend to I can't say much.

It is already Wednesday and we are looking forward to the weekend. Why, I don't know. I don't work anymore so weekends are pretty much he same a week. I always worked weekends anyway, no different. Just free time with kids and grandkids. That is NICE. Everyone enjoy the rest of the week and the weekend. Be safe and stay healthy.

Still New

Hi again everyone. I haven't been here long, but I really like being here. You all are very nice and friendly. I have done both traditional and digital scrapbooking, but by no means do I know alot. I have enjoyed looking thru the gallery and seeing some beautiful layouts. I am still practicing on making my own layout pages and embellishments. That is not a easy task. Sometimes I spend all day working on one item. I don't use a "Name" software. Can't afford them. I use a freebie Paint.Net or Microsoft Digital Image 2006 that came with an upgrade for my Microsoft Works Suite. Both are good, it is the programmer with the problem.
