Helping a Helpless But Hopeful Beginner :) LOL!

Okay, Embellishments...

Okay...I am new, and I admit it, but...I am not totally computer illiterate, so this should be easy, right? I feel like I'm "google-ing" my brains out for digital embellishments and backgrounds. Why can't I create something super spectacular like the rest of these wonderful pages out there? UGH! SO FRUSTRATING! How do you come up with these ideas? I mean, I am pretty happy with a few of my pages, but they are the ones that took me hours on end! How can I turn words sideways, or make a picture have rounded edges that are very opaque? What is opaque? ha ha ha! j/k
It's just aggravating to be a beginner. I want all the wonderful pages everyone else has. Maybe I will just start over 500 challenges and let everyone scrap for me! J/K!
Well, if anyone can help me and teach me how to make my own embellishments, or what are the best programs to use (that don't cost an arm and a leg), I would appreciate it...
save my sanity! LOL!
