ADSR2 adventures
Challenge 4
|
This one really hit home for me at this time in my life. There is a lot going on that is totally out of my control. Being honest with myself and forcing myself to journal this was challenging for me. I am going to print this off and hang it in both my home office and my cube at work.

Challenge 3
|
The Queen's 3 Wishes is my official entry. But the other one was one I made before I really read the requirements. Both of these layouts were HUGE stretches for me. I had never done one of the pop out photos before. I thought it turned out well for my first time! The second one was way beyond my comfort zone. Most of my layouts would be considered minimalist. I used the extractions of my daughters, I created the "pillows" out of another paper, I extracted the flower embellishments from another paper. It was also the first time I had used multiple fonts in a layout. I was pretty proud of this one!

Second challenge
|
This one was a collaboration. We had to use the color red, flowers, doodle, friendship and 2 photos. Here is what my partner and I came up with.

We had a great time "chatting" on Yahoo Messenger one evening. We had it completed the next day. My partner is awesome - we really compliment each other. I am great with journaling and she is great with embellishments.

Challenge 1 done
|
I finally was able to complete my first entry for the ADSR! I had a lot of fun completing it. This challenge was to use the topic of museum and include the word "amazing" in the layout. I did a different take on museum - I used the Library of Congress. I love to read and it had been a life long desire to see the Library of Congress and just smell all those books! While I did not get to go into one of the reading rooms (had to have an appointment to do that), I did sneak a look when someone else went in. There were a lot of displays about various authors, printing technology, etc. I would love to go back with out children or spouse and just spend a full day there exploring.

Get Ready, Get Set...
|
I am stepping out of my comfort zone and have entered the Amazing Digital Scrapping Race 2! I am not sure my partner will think this is a great thing, but I am sure we are going to have fun. We are The Silk Road Scrappin Mamas. The name was derived from the fact that we are both moms to beautiful childrne born in China, as well as referencing the ribbon of road that connects our 2 cities. Both of us are relatively new to digital scrapping, so we thought we would be good partners. The race officially starts on the 16th - so here is to doing my warm ups!
