Mindy's scrap's, random thoughts, and a few rants I am sure
And my rant......
|
I know this has nothing to do with anything, but I did promise I would rant a bit so this is it. I read earlier today, the story about Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen and the ugly custody battle. This just makes me sick, here I am a woman, and I gotta tell you it seems to me that women are evil, and the court system does nothing for justice. What happened to the children’s well being. I went through a very ugly divorce, so I know how it can be first hand. I thank God now that we have a great relationship, and although I may not always agree with Rob’s choices, I am so glad that he is a part of my girl’s life. He has really grown up alot and no one can say that he doesn’t love those girls more than anything. I really just don’t understand how the courts see women so superior to men on raising children. And half the time the people that are deciding whats in our childrens best interest, don't even have children themselves. I have seen this so many times and it just makes me ill. I read that article this morning and it just sent my blood boiling, yes maybe since we have just went through all this ourselves, but c’mon reading that article it was like reading our story, like Jareds ex has trained Denise to do and say the exact evil hurtful things. I totally agree with the 95% of the posts that said that its just a case where yes Denise wanted a divorce, but she doesn’t want him to be with anyone else or be happy. So who pays the price, THE KIDS!!!! It just amazes me that, no matter what a crazy, psychopath pill popping, freakshow the mother is, just because she is the mother that means she is better for the child then the father? UGGGHH!!! On the upside Jared and I have a nice couple of days. Wednesday, he went to my Dr. Visit with me to get the results of my test. Which went great and a heck of a lot better then expected, based on the past yr. of my life. Last night we went to Old Time Pottery, were pathetic the only things we could find were salt and pepper shakers and a spatula. Tonight we are meeting my family for the Mum festival Car show. Tomorrow we will do the Mum Festival so that will be relaxing

What a week..
|
I think I only say this once in a great while, but boy am I glad that week is over. It was a busy week, Lauren's birthday, still trying to get settled into Jared’s new schedule, Savannahs Wedding, and more unpleasant stuff with Jared’s ex. And if anything good came out of that, at least it is what is and that’s how it’s going to be, and now Jared and I have a plan and we’ll go with it and see how it comes out. No more drama, and I think after all the talking Jared and I have done lately it has only brought us closer. On the upside this is my last week of real work for awhile then I have 2 short days next week, then off a week, Jared’s and I anniversary week, woohoo!, and the following week Lauren gets her tonsils out so I am off a few more days there. The picture I did this week was taken Saturday before Savannahs Wedding, Its my sister, father and I. It’s very rare to get him in a picture so we jumped at the chance.

Happy Birthday Lauren!
|
Today is Laurens 8th birthday, we celebrated it last week with Maddie’s, so this evening we will have her birthday dinner, and she chose Spaghetti. Jared is at work, so he wont be able to do dinner with us, he said to tell her that when he goes to his Olive Garden he would pick some up so he can eat spaghetti tonight in her honor! Other then that not much is going on, Jared and I spent the best day together yesterday, we got up, we took our showers, took a nap, got up again, went to the grocery, which I must say I actually saved money this time by taking him, if it wasn’t on the list I wasn’t getting it! We ran into some friends there, chatted for a few. Then we came home had dinner, and watched a whole bunch of Sex In the City. It was just nice and relaxing! I think the biggest decision we had to make yesterday, is what to do with the 11 bottles of beach we purchased, I know what your thinking! My husband found a good deal 10 for $10.00 and you get the 11th free, needless to say I won’t be needing bleach for the next year. Jared reminded me on the way out of the store, it came up sometime in a murder case where someone was found guilty for the amount of bleach they purchased. So now I am thinking great Jared, its only a matter of time before the police come knocking on our door looking for a body! LOL! Jenny, the cleanest person I know, couldn’t even fathom the amount of bleach! See I told I just go on and on about nothing! Song of the week: Carrie Underwood I'LL Stand By You

Happy Birthday Maddie!
|
Today is Maddie's 10th birthday. Yesterday we celebrated her and Laurens Birthdays. Lauren will be 8 next Monday. We had the family over yesterday for a cook out. It was nice, Jared’s parents and mine were here, my sisters, my brother~in~law, all my nieces and nephews, and the girls each had a friend. The theme was pigs and butterflies. I tried to talk Maddie into cows or Lauren into ladybug’s, neither of them were having it though. So we did a butterfly piñata and pig decorations, and made it work with pink and purple decorations and tablewear. We did pin the tail on the pig, which Jared made by hand, yes he is that crafty, and Jared and I made pig snorts for the kids to wear. However the only pictures I got of anyone in them were the grandparents (such good sports). God love my mother~in ~law, I think that is the only picture she has actually let me take, the rest I have to be sneaky. The girls hit the jackpot on presents, my sisters got them gift cards, and a visa card so needless to say they were waking me up bright and early ready to go shopping. So we went and did Maddie’s birthday lunch at Bob Evans and I took them to Target . Maddie decided on just one thing with her card as where Lauren got three. Lauren tried to explain to Maddie that if she managed her money better she could get more also, at which point WWF Smackdown broke out in Target. The funny thing is with Maddie and Lauren, if they're apart for more then an hour they want to call each other and they miss each other soooo much, but you get them together and they pick pick pick at each other. I remember I use to do that to my sisters also; needless to say I spent a lot of time playing by myself. Besides that I am off today and tomorrow, I told Jared I was going to try to go through and organize the closets, I haven’t gotten any done, since I was working on the girls birthday scrapbook, did all five pages, saved it, or so I thought, closed it went back and in and it said it was corrupted. Uggghh, story of my life. And now its too late and I am tired and ready for bed.

My husband, my life saver......
|
I can’t really say this has been the best week ever. Jared had some more unpleasant events with his ex, but we have faith it will all work itself out in the end. One of my Dr’s called and they need to do more tests. Ugghhh. I swear I will spend the months of Sept. and Oct. at Dr’s get poked and prodded. But I must say yet again, I have the most wonderful husband ever. We are having Maddie and Lauren’s birthday party tomorrow. So we will be having the entire family over, and some of the girl’s friends, and my lovely husband spent the day yesterday getting ready for it. He went to the grocery (2 of them), went the dollar store and Hobby Lobby to get more stuff, picked the girls up from school, took Madison to get her hair cut, cleaned the house, did laundry, cooked dinner, and even made both the girls birthday cakes, Madison got a butterfly, Lauren got a pig. Then after all that had to go to work. Some where in there he even found time to send me an email at work, that was titled “ Remember This” and it was our wedding vows, so needless to say I spent that moment at my desk crying. It was to remind me that no matter what triumphs we face, we face them together, and we will get through it together. God love him. Today Jared’s Mom and I took the girl’s to lunch and to Build A Bear, it was nice Hailey was in so we got to spend some time with her. My song of the week Jonathan Edwards: Sunshine

This is my first blog. I am a mother of 3 girls, 2 of my own and one-step daughter. I have a wonderful husband named Jared. I work full time as a Business Manager for a dental office. So between, work, taking care of the girls, the cat and my husband I find sometime in there to scrapbook. |
