It's a Celebration!
|
I noticed that I have exceeded over 100 fnew friends from all over the world. Today, I am going to celebrate new friendsat scrapbookflair and my new friends from all my scrapbook communities and e-mail lists. On April 6, 2006, I seriously began uploading my layouts to Scrapbook Flair gallery. I cannot believe how fast the comments grew. I have to say I have seen some impressive talent and a very caring community here. Everyone is so kind and very generous with their kind comments. I would like to share a gift with my friends. Digital Scrapbook Class
|
I survived teaching my first digital scrapbooking class at our local college. We spent three hours how to make layouts, uploading, freebies, saving and file formats, etc. What a great time it was. Everyone had fabulous layouts when we were done.

Great Blog for Daily Freebies
|
I found this Blog that has a list and photos of all the digital scrapbooking freebies on the web. I have gotten some really nice things. If it wasn't for this blog I probably would not have found. Her blog averages over 1500 hits/day. That's incredible!

Mini tutorial on Fading-Spring is Here Challenge
|
I used the kit provided for the Spring is Here challenge at Scrapbookflair. I used the green vellum, green ribbon and the yelllow and green background paper.
Some have asked how I did the tuplip up in the right hand corner of the page. I use Photoshop Elements 5.0. First I took photo and cropped and adjusted it to the size that I wanted. Then I used the cookie cutter tool and chose an irregular broder around the edges then I kept the layer active and adjusted the opacity to 30% in the right side of the page when the layer is active. Hope this helps someone.

| I recently became a Creative Team Member with Moo Two Designs and have been doing many layouts using their page kits. I have been buzy doing with their challenges. They have a down on the Farm theme. Cute Huh! I have also entered my first two challenges here at scrapbook flair. I am going to give it my best pixels.

Hello from the Queen Bee

| Well I always said that I would never have a blog and this is my first scrapbook blog. I should have known better. Most of my pages are heritage pages. I enjoy genealogy with I enjoy making document and family records come alive with scrapping.I am currently workin on my husbands grandfather. He fought in WW1 and I have his military records full of all kinds of info. I got these from the Veterans Administration. In them was a medical note that he had been hospitalized in a military hospital for a month in France with Influenza in February of 1919. This was of special interest to me since I am a Public Health and Communicable Disease Nurse. No one knew this at the family reunion. This is to say the least of how well we may know someone.
